Bravo Bravissimo project
Gioachino Rossini is one of the most important opera composers of the 19th century.
He contribute to the renewal of Italian and European music theatres and to the enrichment of the European music culture with his numerous compositions.
The Bravo Bravissimo consortium includes an Italian Orchestra, AEROPLIO-TOPOS ALLOU Theatre of Athens, a cultural association very active in Kotor, the Municipality of Lousada, and an European association that boasts a wide network of European members.
The partners’ experiences has brought the project to focus its attention on three important aspects to strengthen the promotion of culture:
A)encourage people to explore Europe’s rich and diverse cultural heritage and the world of opera; B)encourage young artists to improve and exchange their skills outside their Country of origin; C)make citizens reflect on the impact that culture can have in all our lives.
Many people do not feel familiar with opera. Consequently, the potential of emerging artists in the field of opera and beyond is often underestimated, with negative backlashes on their future perspectives. The project specifically focuses on Rossini’s heritage, but its methodologies and contents could represent a standardized modus operandi for EU cultural heritage valorization. The core stage of the project is the co-creation of an opera theatre piece with the active involvement of audiences. The Theatre Opera is an innovative performance where music, prose, multimedia and cooking are mixed together, so that classical music can reach a new audience.
