The CREATIVE EUROPE project “Legend of the great birth” (Le.Gre.Bi) will look into the myths, the tales and the mythology that was formed for the Birth and Creation of this and our universe. The stories of each culture and country as it explains it and expresses it. The pantheon of the Gods and heroes of each mythology will consist as inspiration and the spark for performances, workshops,  lectures,  publications and  high quality events in the partners countries.

Living in the era of globalization, everything moves in accordance with the rhythm of technological developments. We can be everywhere in seconds and have access to information coming from any region of the world. On the other hand, the question of our cultural origin still remains vivid as much as ever. The special characteristics and the cultural differences of nations are lost day by day.  Important cultural activities and achievements of nations are lost. For instance, the colorfulness of different languages, the most distinct characteristic of man, has faded. 

• Which was point zero of our creation?
• How was the earth and the stars created ?
• What explanation and which answers did our ancestors give?
• What is the legacy our ancestors left us?
• Which is the mythology around this topics in every country and people?

In this respect, the LeGreBi project is aiming at arousing and inspiring cultural institutions to enhance their folkloric agenda, by especially targeting the oral tradition like fairy tales and myths of creation and not only.

Each participating organization will work on its country’s myths and  fairy tales and prepare and deliver its own performance and activities. In this respect, the partners will present the play, demonstrating thus the common cultural characteristics of countries and nations. The performances will travel and will be presented in partners countries.
