Thalassa of Myths
Thalassa of Myths was an EU Culture project (2008-2010) implemented by theatre organizations from Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania. These theatres, coordinated by the CENTRE OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THEATRE STUDIES and AEROPLOIO Theatre from Greece, researched the common traditional roots of their country’s oral traditions and then created original performances based on their research and commonalities.
Myths, legends, and fairy tales became performance material using puppets, masks, and small props taken to the stage and traveled to Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, and Romania.
