HEDA project- the philosophy
The theater is – among others- a political fact and phenomenon. From the classic works of the ancient/medieval/renaissance era, to their most modern texts and pieces of art, the political ideological aspects are intense.
Texts always hide a social reflection, show social behaviors/models that the viewer or reader is called to follow or to reject.
Much more when the theater and theatrical (or art in general) techniques become a tool and material to teach these behaviors and social phenomena.
HEDA project will attribute to the teachers and educators a method through theater that can use it to reflect students on social phenomena, or also social behaviors, to acquire consciousness of society in which they will join and participate, will work and create as responsible, conscious citizens.
HEDA will be processed and delivered to the teachers, a method (theory and then modeled examples) of how step-by-step, teacher can teach the citizen’s education and Human Rights (and lessons related like these) using art. It will organize workshops to direct participating teachers into a new method that is not limited to the classical teaching of the passive receivers who just listen but will proposes experiential ways of teaching.
Students in this way have multiple benefits:
- Democratic and humanitarian ideals
- They will be taught and especially experienced emotions.
- Socialized through contact with art and other students.
- Are expressed and gained confidence in their thoughts, crises and emotions.
- They come in contact with big masterpieces of art.
- Learn to judge and develop a way of thinking and analyzing.
- They learn to read under the text and facts.
- They waste and treated emotions.
